Gif it up!

On February 9, 2010 we held a small class to teach how to make animated Gifs and were floored at the great pieces made in just two hours. Each student was given a large table and access to piles of stuff (some students brought their own actors). For PC users we used Advanced GIF Animator and for Mac users, GifFun to assemble the animated Gifs from the series of still photos.

While both programs are free, GifFun is very basic and easy to use but allows only Gif files to be made. AGA has much more options to save as different file types and offers an ability to mess with each frame (add effects). Here's a document which outlines how to use AGA.
